What's green energy? Green energy is energy that is easy on the environment. It's energy from renewable sources. It's energy acquisiton and production that doesn't do severe or irreparable damage to the environment. It's energy from systems that have minimal waste in transmission and discharge. It's energy that's clean.
What are some sources of renewable green energy?
Solar powerWind power
Geothermal power
Biomass energy
Wave and tidal power
What about greening traditional sources used for energy generation such as oil, gas, coal, nuclear?
The jury is still out as to whether these energy resources can become truly green. There are some researchers working on some promising adaptations, but they are yet to be demonstrated to be end to end clean.
In the mean time there are modifications to traditional power generation and power grids that will help to reduce the current energy waste and curb the amount of pollutants released into the air and onto the land.
